If your child is leaving Lincoln School for lunch, please provide a dated and signed note to Mr. Casten!
I have been at Lincoln teaching 4th Grade for 20 years now! It's a fantastic school surrounded by an equally fantastic community!
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Working with so many children for so many years has brought joy and meaning to my life. As excited as I was on my very first day, the feeling never faded as I'm very excited to start the 2020-21 school year.
I am married to a former Elmhurst teacher and we have three children (Ava 13, Henry 12, and Ella 10), two dogs, and a bunny in the house. Needless to say, there's never a dull moment at the Casten House!
I became a teacher to try to make a difference for as many kids as I can. It certainly takes a village to raise a child and I know, firsthand, that Elmhurst is such a village, and I have been fortunate enough to be a part of that village for so many years.
