Dear Lincoln 5th Grade families,
Welcome back! I hope that you and your family had a wonderful summer break! I know that our Fifth Grade team and the entire Bryan staff are ready to welcome you into the Bryan Family this year. As your new Principal, I am ready to begin the 2021-2022 school year moving forward together! I also want to reassure you that your 5th graders will continue to have their elementary experience in the middle school setting.
Each week, you will receive a 5th grade-specific newsletter with dates, times, and announcements pertinent to the elementary school calendar.
I look forward to partnering with both Jacquie Discipio, the Bryan Principal, and Tom Sheehan, the Bryan Assistant Principal, on our journey this year. firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com

Bus Service and Schedule
The schedule will be posted on the Bryan website for you to review by Friday 8/13 at the latest. Fifth graders will have their own bus. Bussing is available for Lincoln Students living 1.5 miles or more from Bryan (this is the state guideline), more information on pick up and drop off times will be within the week. General bus route information can be found on the Bryan website.
Meet the Teacher Open House
On Monday, August 16, 3-4 pm at Bryan Middle School you and your child can come to drop off supplies and meet their classroom teacher. Please enter through the front door of Bryan, and we will guide you to the fifth-grade classrooms. You and your child will have time to explore some of the other learning spaces in the building where they may be learning this year (gym, art room, auditorium, etc.).
Drop off/Pick Up Information
We ask that families proceed with caution during pick-up and drop-off times at Bryan Middle School. We encourage students to walk or ride their bikes when they can. All students have bike racks outside their student entry doors.
5th Grade Families: Please drop off your student using VanBuren Street going towards Euclid. Your student will enter through door #7, which is next to the 5th-grade classroom pod.
We are excited to announce that ALL school lunches will be free for ALL students this year. Weather permitting, students will continue to be able to eat outdoor eating or will be able to eat in the auditorium. Students will be able to maintain social distancing without masks in the auditorium or outdoors. We encourage students to take responsibility for planning ahead for their meals, however, parents may drop off a brown bag lunch or your child may opt for the free lunch. Fast food is not permitted.
Students will have 30 minutes for lunch and 30 minutes for recess each day, with one additional 15-minute break.
