Registration for Lincoln's 2nd Annual Family Trivia Night is now open! This fun, virtual event will be taking place on April 15 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Play with your family or with a group of up to 6 people from the comfort of your own couch. It should be a fun night and there are prizes for the top teams! Register and pay here: https://forms.gle/
Additionally, the downtown Elmhurst location of Guac 'N Tacos (116 S. York St) will be hosting an Eat&Earn for Lincoln on April 15 from 4:00-9:00 PM. 15% of their proceeds that night will benefit the Lincoln 5th Grade Legacy Gift. You can eat in or carry out, as long as you mention Lincoln School when you place your order.
Many thanks to Meredith Marzano for organizing this fun event!
Lunch Recess Supervisors
Thank you to those who have volunteered for Lunch Recess Supervision! We have two additional parents who will be helping during the week.
Upcoming Parent Workshops from SASED
In April, SASED will be hosting a series of workshops for parents. The first is scheduled for April 7, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. and is focused on improving physical, intellectual, and emotional health. More information and registration information is available at this link.
Burning Up Instead of Burning Out: Improving Your Personal Performance Through Improving Physical, Intellectual, and Emotional Health
Presenters: Dr. Don and Claudia Parker
This workshop was designed to inspire people and empower them to activate healthy coping methods to combat stress so they can perform at a high level. In a recent study, parents raising school aged children reported higher levels of anxiety and burnout than the general population and were at higher risk of depression. The sheer quantity of work, worrying about the social and emotional health of their children and a lack of time to focus on their parent-child relationships were the major causes of stress that led to burnout.
