Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 will transition from hybrid to remote instruction for two weeks beginning October 21-November 4, 2020, implementing an Adaptive Pause in accordance with IDPH guidelines. The pause to in-person instruction comes because DuPage County has entered into Substantial Community Transmission. COVID-19’s presence in the community has increased to a level that stands to expose our families and staff to health risks. Expand this story for next steps.

The start of the school year has been stressful for many families as parents struggle to balance work with remote and hybrid learning. Staff at the Elmhurst Park District and Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 have been working behind the scenes for weeks to come up with the best solution to help as many families as possible during this tough transition.
Club Ed. is a new program for children K-5 that will offer a convenient, self-directed E-Learning opportunity at various D205 and Park District locations. This program will provide a structured schedule that alternates designated time for self-directed E-Learning and recreational activities including indoor/outdoor games, arts and crafts. Children will be in a group of 15 participants or less in a format that meets all CDC health and safety guidelines. Face coverings will be required at all times except while eating.
